Since learning about the injustices and tyrannical aversions to our great nations Constitution I have become more enlightened about our government and the corporations which have become its keeper. It is disheartening to watch our liberties erode day by day as these corporate entities strangle liberty in light of their secretive agendas, which are not as secret as they think.
Our forefathers set forth in action a set of laws which are to regulate and provide for the American people as long as the people continuously remain vigilant against corruption and tyranny. Yet as the years have passed since the inception of our government 'We the People' have sat silently by as government on the federal level has grown beyond its usefulness and effectiveness. By allowing our government to be run by financially hungry people who disregard the peoples best interest and obey only those who can provide them a secure financial future we have essentially failed ourselves and our forefathers.
I have heard it said somewhere that 'our government has failed us'. Well I say that if that be true, then haven't we failed our government by allowing them to continue on unchecked for so long? Is it not our duty as Americans to prevent tyranny from infiltrating our elected offices and to prevent corporate rule over the people of this nation?
Do we sit idly by and wait for someone else to come to our rescue? Are we to adhere to laws passed which violate our civil liberties and rights which are granted to us by our Creator?
We are a free people who are living in a nation where our government wishes us to become slaves. Slaves of the corporations which hopes to control every sector of our lives. From making new born children the property of the government to making it illegal to grow your own food with organic seeds; from taking away our freedom of speech and the right to keep and bear arms to the security of ones own personal property, our liberties are in peril beyond anything this nation has ever seen. We are not Americans if we site back and let this happen. We are not Americans if we obey the unjust, unlawful laws passed in the dead of night, behind closed doors. We must stand unified against this tyranny and corruption of our Constitution or we cannot truly call ourselves American citizens.
The liberties of our people are ordained from Natural Law which is granted by our creator and not by government. And if this is the truth, which I know and fully believe it to be, then our government cannot pass any law which removes or violates these liberties without being in violation of our Natural Law. It is my belief that this is treason against our nation and against all free men/women. How can 'We the People' allows this to continue? We cannot! We must unify, we must stand together and declare ourselves Americans; who believe in our Constitutional rights and liberties. We must fight back with words, demonstrations (peaceful) and actions against this treason. Our future and our children's future depends upon it.
Many great men in our history have been quoted regarding the liberties of 'We the People' and we as a nation of people have become too complacent when it comes time to remember their cries for liberty. I say it is time to remember them, their quotes and most importantly what they did for us all. They made our nation a free nation so that each and every one of us could live peacefully with one another, so that we could continue on with our daily routines and know we would not be taxed without being represented, we would not be made to be held forcefully against our will inside our own homes, we would always be able to challenge those who are elected by the system of checks and balances inside our Constitution. We cannot continue allowing these injustices to be carried out in the name of national security.
How can we allow our elected officials the power to control our lives to such a degree that we no longer have the freedom of speech, the right to keep and bear arms, the ability to be secure in your homes? We cannot allow them to continue to violate our liberties lest we stop calling ourselves Americans. For 'We the People' are no ones slaves, we are not sheep either, we are free men who will exercise our rights and protect our Constitution from all forms of tyranny both foreign and domestic.
We are not the terrorists, we are not the bad guys, we are Americans and we demand our government work for us, not us for them. We deserve a government that obeys its people, not locks them up because they believe in the very document which allowed this country to grow and flourish into the greatest nation on earth. The audacity of those in power to think that labeling us domestic threats to national security concerns me deeply as it means my very words here could land me in some unknown corner of the globe without rights at all, but still I write them for all to read because without the freedoms provided to us by our Constitutional Bill of Rights we would be nothing more than slaves to/of our government.
I wish for liberty for our nation and individual states, I wish for peace and prosperity to all our citizens.
America was founded as the melting pot of this earth where people could come and make a new life for themselves and their families if they so chose as long as they obeyed our laws which were set forth by our Constitution. I believe this should hold true today even though there is much to be said about illegal immigrants as we Americans are all immigrants on this soil. We conquered this land from the native Indians and provided a set of rules which we were to live by. Those rules are the United States Constitution. Let people continue to arrive on our shores, but make them learn our language and live by our Constitutional laws or send them packing, for the same would hold true if we were to move to another country.
The freedom of us all depends upon our adherence to our Constitution, the same can be said about our liberties. Our government has no right or grounds to alter our Constitution, to amend our Constitution without the consent of us all. Allowing them to do otherwise is treasonous and against our American way of life!
I say to all who read this, let our government label us as they will for we know in our hearts we are Americans who live by the code of conduct set forth by our Constitution and "we will not go quietly into that good night". -roughly quoted --Dylan Thomas
